The Zero fighter, a legendary aircraft in history, was achieved through the combination of a thoroughly lightweight airframe, a 940-horsepower Sakae 12 engine, and the offensive power of 7.7mm and 20mm cannons. This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Zero Fighter Type 21, an early model that supported the advance of the Japanese military at the beginning of the Pacific War. Its elegant style, boasting excellent maneuverability and long range, is modeled in meticulous detail. The rivets and panel lines on the surface of the aircraft are also delicately finished. The cockpit interior, including the instrument panel and seats, is also reproduced with rich three-dimensionality. The canopy can be assembled in either an open or closed position, and the main landing gear and tail wheel can be assembled in either a landing or retracted position. Two figures of crew members, one seated and one standing, and five types of markings, including the aircraft flown by ace pilot Saburo Sakai, are also included.
