The P-51D Mustang of the U.S. Army Air Corps is considered the best propeller-driven aircraft of World War II, boasting a balanced high performance with excellent speed, range, and maneuverability. After the war, with the independence of the U.S. Air Force from the Army Air Corps, it was renamed the F-51D and remained on the front lines. This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces this F-51D in its Korean War configuration. The aerodynamically refined style, including the streamlined nose and the radiator on the underside of the fuselage, has been faithfully modeled. Ground attack was the mission of the F-51D in the Korean War. The kit includes two 500-pound bombs, six 5-inch HVAR rockets, and two 75-gallon drop tanks used as napalm bombs, conveying its valiant efforts. Includes one pilot figure and three marking options.
