■Product Description
[About the Messerschmitt Me262A-1a] The German Air Force's Me262 was the world's first practical jet fighter to appear during World War II. The Me262 was developed as an innovative high-speed fighter, and deliveries of the initial mass-produced A-0 model began in April 1944. However, due to Hitler's orders, production of the A-2a fighter-bomber took priority, and full-scale production of the long-awaited A-1a fighter model did not begin until November of the same year, towards the end of the war. Deployed in the air defense of mainland Germany, the A-1a, with its heavy armament of four 30mm cannons and air-to-air rockets, and its inherent high-speed performance, became the greatest threat to Allied bombers.
