[A super sports car that showcased the power of turbo]
The 911 Turbo appeared in 1975 as Porsche's first road car equipped with a turbo engine. The air-cooled horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine equipped with a KKK turbocharger initially produced 260 horsepower from a 3-liter displacement. From 1978, the displacement was increased to 3.3 liters and the power was increased to 300 horsepower. Its style and high-performance driving, including the large rear wing and the bulging front and rear fenders that cover the wide tires, attracted the attention of enthusiasts around the world.
