The World Rally Championship is a competition to see who can go the fastest on public roads. Mechanics are the ones who support the performance of rally cars that race at incredible speeds not only on paved roads but also on off-road and snow roads. With 5 to 9 time attack sections called SS each day and a fierce three-day battle to the end, machine maintenance is a major factor in determining the winner. After the SS is completed, the driver gives instructions via radio about any troubles or setting changes. As soon as they enter the service park where machine maintenance is permitted, work is carried out quickly, and sometimes they even perform the feat of changing the transmission in just 20 minutes. Just like the drivers, the mechanics are also fighting in a tough rally.
