[Reviving the Tragic British State-of-the-Art Battleship]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the British battleship HMS Prince of Wales, which contributed to the sinking of the Bismarck during World War II and then disappeared off the coast of Malaya after being attacked by Japanese naval aircraft. The model depicts the ship as it appeared during the Battle of Malaya in December 1941. Differences from its sister ship, HMS King George V, are also accurately reproduced. The bridge section, which is precisely reproduced with 60 parts, is the highlight. The anti-aircraft armament that makes up the main parts, such as the 6 turrets with 48 pom-pom guns, is also not to be missed. The kit also includes one Walrus flying boat and one each of the Japanese Navy's Type 96 and Type 1 land attack aircraft that it fought against off the coast of Malaya, so it will be interesting to compare their sizes. A display stand and ship nameplate are included.
