Equipped with a powerful 2000-horsepower class engine, a huge propeller, and inverted gull wings, the US Navy's Corsair continued to fly on the front lines from World War II to the Korean War. Among them, the F4U-1A appeared in the summer of 1943, following the first mass-produced model, the F4U-1. It was equipped with a bubble canopy for improved visibility and could carry 1000-pound bombs. It played an active role as the main aircraft of the Marine Corps and Navy Air Forces based on the islands of the Pacific.
