[A modified delta-wing aircraft designed for high speed]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the US Navy's carrier-based jet fighter, the Skyray, which made its first flight in 1951 and is known for its distinctive style and for setting world records for speed and climb time. The model is based on the F4D-1, the mass-produced version of the Skyray, of which 419 units were produced. The unique style with a modified delta wing with a 50-degree sweep angle has been realistically reproduced. The landing gear bays and cockpit interior are also finished with rich three-dimensional detail. Sharp weapon parts such as rocket pods and Sidewinders add power to the aircraft's curved design. Markings are available for three types of aircraft belonging to the US Navy and Marine Corps.
