The P-51D Mustang of the United States Army Air Corps is famous as the best fighter aircraft of World War II. To address the shortage of Hamilton Standard propellers that the P-51D was equipped with, the P-51K was created by replacing them with Aero Products propellers. Primarily deployed in the Asian theater, the P-51K, along with the P-51D, was active in ground attack and long-range bomber escort missions, taking advantage of its long range, high speed, and excellent maneuverability. In addition, some P-51s were equipped with cameras and used as photographic reconnaissance aircraft, and those based on the P-51D were called the F-6D.

This is a plastic model assembly kit that allows you to choose from the P-51D, the P-51K mainly used in the Asian theater, and the F-6D photographic reconnaissance aircraft. ●1/32 scale, length 308mm, wingspan 354mm. ●The sleek style and the distinctive cross-sectional shape of the laminar flow wing are faithfully modeled. ●The radiator housing is reproduced just like the real aircraft, including the internal ducts and oil cooler. ●The cockpit interior is also highly detailed. The F-6D also includes parts for the photography interval meter. ●Includes three types of markings for Pacific theater units based in the Philippines, Iwo Jima, and Burma. ●Two types of crew figures are included: seated and standing. ●Comes with a 16-page full-color explanatory booklet.
