The P-51 Mustang of the United States Army Air Corps is one of the finest fighter planes of World War II. With its groundbreaking laminar flow wings and unique radiator placement, the aerodynamically refined airframe, powered by the Packard Merlin V-1650 engine, achieved long range, high speed, and excellent maneuverability. It played a central role in escorting strategic bombers flying from Britain to mainland Germany. From May 1944, the D model, which featured a teardrop-shaped canopy with improved rearward visibility and six wing guns, began deployment. It exhibited the most balanced performance in the series and led the Allied forces to victory.

The sleek style and the distinctive cross-sectional shape of the laminar flow wings are faithfully modeled. ●The radiator housing is reproduced just like the real aircraft, including the internal ducts and oil cooler. ●The control surfaces and radiator flaps are movable. ●You can choose whether or not to include the dorsal fin on the vertical stabilizer. ●Includes a 75-gallon teardrop-shaped drop tank and a 108-gallon reinforced paper drop tank, and three markings for aircraft belonging to the 8th Air Force. ●Two types of crew figures are included: seated and standing. ●Comes with a 16-page full-color instruction manual.
