■Product Description
[The masterpiece aircraft that the world is watching, finally here]
The Spitfire is a masterpiece fighter aircraft that represents the Royal Air Force during World War II. Among them, the Mk.V was created to counter the German Air Force's new Focke-Wulf Fw190, which appeared over the English Channel in September 1941 and seized air superiority from the Royal Air Force. The engine of the main Mk.V type was replaced with a new Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 series engine equipped with a two-stage, two-speed supercharger, achieving a significant performance improvement with minimal modifications. This is the IX. Most of these were Mk.IXc models equipped with C-wings that carried two 20mm cannons and four 7.7mm machine guns. The Mk.IXc, which began deployment as early as July 1942, overwhelmed the Fw190 with its maximum speed of 669 km/h and superior high-altitude performance. Not only did it lead the war to a British advantage, but it also recorded the second-highest production number in the series, with approximately 5,500 aircraft produced, and became the mainstay of the Royal Air Force from the middle of the war onward. ■Product Specifications
