■Product Description
[The Wings of Capability Recognized by the Marine Corps]
The F-4 Phantom II, with over 5,000 units produced in total, was adopted by the US Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force, as well as 11 other countries around the world including the UK and Japan, and served as the air defense for liberal nations for over 30 years. Its first flight was in 1958, and it was officially adopted as a carrier-based fighter for the US Navy, breaking numerous world records for aircraft, including speed and altitude records, demonstrating its superior performance. The F-4J was a type developed for the Navy, following the B model, which was the first mass-produced model, and the G model, of which only 12 were produced, with 522 units produced by December 1972. The F-4J's engine was upgraded from the conventional J-79GE-8 to the improved J-79GE-10, and its interception and ground attack capabilities were enhanced through improvements to its radar, fire control system, and bomb control system. The inclusion of the ASW-11 data link system also enabled automatic landings, improving its ease of use. Deployment to units began in 1967, and from the end of May 1968, it was rapidly deployed to the increasingly intense Vietnam War. Marine Corps air units deployed in Vietnam, such as the 212th and 232nd Fighter Attack Squadrons, were also equipped with the F-4J, primarily demonstrating its capabilities in close air support for Marine Corps ground forces, carrying conventional bombs such as the Mk.82 and Sidewinder missiles. While Marine Corps F-4Js did not have many opportunities to engage North Vietnamese Air Force aircraft, in September 1972, an F-4J piloted by Major L.T. Lassitter and Captain J.D. Cummings of the 333rd Marine Fighter Attack Squadron successfully shot down a MiG-21 fighter jet.

[Model Specifications]
This is a precision plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the F-4J Phantom I, which played an active role as the main fighter aircraft of the US Navy and Marine Corps, in an impressive large size. ★Scale 1/32, overall length 555mm, overall width 368mm. The fierce appearance of the J type, which had enhanced interception and ground attack capabilities, is faithfully modeled. ★The fuselage is molded in one piece to realistically reproduce the complex shape. The top surface has no glue lines, resulting in a high-quality finish, while the main parts are secured with screws for ease of assembly and strength. ★The landing gear struts, both the nose and main legs, are made of high-strength die-cast metal, and come with realistic-looking rubber tires. ★The cockpit interior is modeled in detail, including the front and rear ejection seats and instruments. The canopy can be assembled in either the open or closed position. ★The air brakes can also be assembled in either the open or closed position, and the refueling probe can be attached in the deployed position. ★A wide range of armament parts are included, including Sidewinder and Sparrow air-to-air missiles, as well as Mk.82 conventional bombs. ★Two crew figures, two types of Marine Corps aircraft, and one type of Navy aircraft waterslide decals are included.
