■Product Description
[Elite Team Facing the Great Counteroffensive] At the beginning of World War II, American infantrymen wore field uniforms called M1941 field jackets, but from the latter half of 1944, the improved M1943 field jackets were issued in earnest. At the same time, two-buckle boots, which combined boots and leggings, were also introduced. Equipment included ammunition pouches, canteens, shovels, and ponchos, and ordinary soldiers carried M1 Garands, BAR M1918A2s, and M1A1 Thompson submachine guns, while non-commissioned officers and officers mainly carried M1 carbines. Handy talkies were also used for reconnaissance missions. This set includes five American infantrymen, reproduced in their typical attire from the latter half of 1944 onwards. They can be displayed individually, or combined with vehicles to create dioramas. The set conveys the realism of the great counteroffensive that began with the Normandy landings.
