■Product Description
[France's main battle light tank that faced a formidable enemy]
The R35 was adopted in 1935 as the successor to the Renault FT17, a light tank of the French army that appeared at the end of World War I. The hull was constructed by bolting a three-part cast upper section to a lower section made of rolled steel plate. The cast turret was equipped with a short-barreled 37mm gun inherited from the FT17, and the crew consisted of two people: a commander and a driver. Facing the German invasion in May 1940, the R35 had high defensive capabilities, but its outdated 37mm gun was no match for German tanks, and although it struggled, it fought valiantly as the largest tank force of the French army. It mainly proved effective in supporting infantry units, and approximately 1,600 units were produced by the armistice in June of the same year.

[Model Specifications]
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the French light tank R35. ★Total length 114mm, total width 55mm. ★The rounded cast hull and turret are realistically modeled. ★The turret uses slide molding to achieve both realistic texture and ease of assembly. ★In addition to vertical movement, the gun barrel can also move slightly left and right, just like the real vehicle. ★The tracks are assembled using a link-and-length system with straight sections as a single piece, resulting in a natural-looking sag at the top. ★One commander figure is included, seated in the hatch at the rear of the turret and looking forward. ★Two markings are provided for the war against Germany.
