[Destroy enemy bases with overwhelming firepower!]
The German Brummbär assault tank was developed during World War II to provide fire support for infantry. Based on the chassis of the Panzer IV, it featured a large fighting compartment with 100mm of armor on the front and 50mm on the sides, and was equipped with a powerful short-barreled 15cm howitzer. The howitzer had a range of 5,000m, and its shaped-charge projectiles could penetrate 160mm thick armor plates sloped at 30 degrees. Of the three types of Brummbär developed—early, mid, and late—the late model recorded the largest production number of any type, approximately 160 units, from May 1944 to March 1945, just before the end of the war. Incorporating lessons learned from the war, it was equipped with a defensive forward machine gun and a commander's cupola, and the fighting compartment was expanded in volume and the layout was completely redesigned. Furthermore, to cope with its heavy weight, the road wheels were partially replaced with steel road wheels without rubber rims. The later models, deployed to assault tank battalions composed solely of Brummbär tanks, proved highly effective in attacking enemy positions and fortified urban areas on both the Eastern and Western fronts and the Italian front.

This is a plastic model assembly kit of the later Brummbär model. ★1/35 scale, overall length 168mm, overall width 94mm. ★A realistic model of the imposing tank with a large fighting compartment and a massive main gun. ★The gun barrel is movable up, down, left, and right. The sight and slide cover on the top of the fighting compartment move in conjunction with the gun's rotation. ★The Schurzen (additional armor plates) are divided into 5 parts on each side, allowing for the reproduction of partially detached states. ★Two types of road wheels are included: with and without rubber rims. They can be combined and used depending on the markings. ★A half-figure of the commander that fits in the cupola and a full-figure of an infantryman standing at the rear of the fighting compartment are included. ★Two types of decals are included. *The finished product in the photo uses a separately sold coating sheet set.
