■Product Description
[The unique form tells the story of Finland's valiant struggle]
During World War II, the Finnish army utilized captured Soviet tanks as an important part of its fighting force. Among them, the BT-42 was the only one that underwent unique modifications within Finland and was reborn as an assault gun. Based on the 1937 model, a later type of the BT-7, it is characterized by a large box-shaped protrusion on the turret to accommodate the replacement of the main gun with a British-made 114mm howitzer. Eighteen units were produced between 1943 and 1944 and deployed to attack Soviet defensive positions. In the major Soviet offensive of June 1944, it fought valiantly against Soviet tanks in the defense of the key city of Viipuri.
