■Product Description
[The Main Battle Tank of the Italian Army in World War II]
The M13/40 became the main battle tank of the Italian Army during World War II. With a solid design including a riveted hull and a bogie suspension supported by leaf springs, it was equipped with Italy's first powered turret and a long-barreled 47mm tank gun. It boasted excellent firepower for its time. It was also equipped with a 125 horsepower V8 liquid-cooled diesel engine and had a maximum speed of 30 km/h. Approximately 800 units were produced between July 1940 and 1943. It was deployed mainly on the North African front and fought valiantly alongside the German Africa Corps.
