Among them, the Nashorn was created by combining components from the Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks into a newly designed chassis and mounting a long-barreled 8.8cm gun. The Nashorn made its debut in the Battle of Kursk, the German offensive of the summer of 1943, and destroyed numerous vehicles by utilizing its overwhelming armor-piercing power and high mobility.
