■Product Description
[The Diamond-Shaped Monster Comes to Life]
The Mark IV was the first mass-produced tank ever deployed in combat by the British Army during World War I. It emerged as an improved version of the Mark I tank, a groundbreaking new weapon developed to capture trench positions on the Western Front. Approximately 1,000 units were produced from March 1917. Among them, the male (male type) was equipped with an artillery piece for trench breaching and fortification attack, while a female (female type) equipped only with a machine gun was also produced. In the Battle of Cambrai in November 1917, a large-scale surprise attack was carried out using approximately 400 Mark IVs, achieving great results. Furthermore, in April 1918, the first tank battle in history took place against the German A7V tank, and there is an anecdote that a Mark IV male's shell hit and destroyed the A7V. The Mark IV has left its mark on history as a representative British tank of World War I.
