■Product Description
[Overwhelming realism that fuses the image of the actual ship and the original work] "Aircraft Carrier Ibuki," a popular manga that has been serialized in Shogakukan's "Big Comic" since December 2014 and won the 63rd Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category, has sold over 3 million copies in total, and a live-action film adaptation is scheduled to be released in 2019. The DDV192 Ibuki, a fixed-wing aircraft carrier destroyer that can be said to be the main character of the story, has been recreated as a 1/700 scale waterline model. In the design process, in addition to repeated consultations between Shogakukan and the author, Kaiji Kawaguchi, the actual Izumo-class helicopter carrier of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, which served as the base, was researched in order to enhance the realism. This is a remarkable model that faithfully reproduces the world of the manga while fusing it with the realism of a scale model.
