■Product Description
[Latest specifications in an affordable size] The Type 10 tank is the fourth domestically produced main battle tank of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, officially adopted in 2010. It is equipped with a domestically produced 120mm smoothbore gun. Thanks to improvements in the performance of the fire control system and other components, it is said to boast a 100% hit rate against moving targets even while driving in an S-shaped slalom. In addition, it employs detachable modular armor on the hull and turret to enhance defensive capabilities and operational efficiency, and can be rapidly deployed throughout Japan by trailer transport. Deployment to units began in 2012 and is being deployed in stages, replacing the Type 74 tank. Furthermore, even after the start of production, the Type 10 tank has undergone specification changes to match actual operational needs, playing a part in further strengthening defense capabilities.
