[The condensed majesty of a finely honed tiger]
Said to be equivalent to five Sherman tanks in one vehicle, the German Tiger I heavy tank was a major threat to the Allied forces during World War II. Its hull, weighing 57 tons, was protected by heavy armor up to 100 mm thick, and its 56-caliber 88 mm gun, based on an 88 mm anti-aircraft gun, boasted the power to penetrate 110 mm thick armor plates from a distance of 2,000 m, producing many tank aces, including Captain Michael Wittmann. A total of over 1,300 units were produced from June 1942, and among them, later production models incorporated various improvements such as the addition of a periscope to the cupola and the adoption of steel road wheels with built-in rubber.

This is a plastic model assembly kit of the late production model of the Tiger I. ●1/48 scale, 177mm in length. The heavy appearance, including the hull composed of vertical surfaces and the turret equipped with an 88mm gun, is realistically modeled. ●The armor plates on the sides of the hull are separate parts from the lower hull and are attached to the upper hull. ●The realistic link-type tracks, with straight sections made as one piece, can be easily assembled. ●The weight inside the hull creates a sense of weight. ●Includes one half-figure of a commander to enhance realism. ●Decals allow you to choose between the 505th Heavy Tank Battalion, known for its knight-on-horse unit marking on the side of the turret, and the 101st Heavy Tank Battalion, to which the famous Captain Wittmann belonged.
