The US military's 2 1/2-ton truck was used on every front of World War II and continued to run as a standard issue vehicle until the Korean War. More than 800,000 units were produced during the five years of the war, and various variations appeared depending on the purpose, but the cargo truck recorded the highest production volume. The representative type, the CCKW-353, had a curb weight of 4.8 tons, an off-road load capacity of 2.42 tons, an on-road load capacity of 4 tons, and a top speed of 72 km/h, demonstrating outstanding performance for its time. Its superior durability and transport capacity allowed it to transport large quantities of supplies, including soldiers, fuel, ammunition, and food, to the front lines, supporting the Allied victory.
