■ Description
In the 1/700 Waterline series, the British Navy and the aircraft carrier, the Harmys, are back.
Hermes was one of the earliest operational aircraft carriers designed as an aircraft carrier. She was launched in 1918, commissioned in 1919, and commissioned in 1924. With a discharge of about 10,000 tons, she contributed significantly to the development of aircraft carriers and operated in the Mediterranean and Far East. She served as a convoy escort and patrol vessel in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, but was sunk during the Indian Ocean Campaign of April 1942 by Japanese naval aircraft carriers. Hermes was a pioneer in the history of aircraft carrier development, and her design ideas and operational experience greatly influenced later aircraft construction.
The bookkit is an accurate reproduction of Hermes in simple pieces.
