The 3 1/2-ton truck (commonly known as the 3.5-ton truck) is a general-purpose heavy-duty truck used by the Japan Self-Defense Forces.
Previously procured as the Type 73 heavy-duty truck, the name was changed to the 3 1/2-ton truck in 2003.
In the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, it is deployed to almost all units regardless of branch, such as infantry, armor, and artillery, and is also used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and Japan Air Self-Defense Force, making it a vehicle that can be seen frequently at Self-Defense Force facilities and on public roads throughout Japan.
In addition, the high durability and off-road capability of this vehicle greatly contribute to disaster relief and life-saving operations in various locations.
As the first in the series, this product precisely reproduces the latest model, classified under the model name SKW477, in 1/35 scale.
It features movable front wheel steering and a movable rear axle, allowing for a variety of expressions even after completion.
