The M-ATV (MRAP All Terrain Vehicle) is a four-wheel-drive anti-mine/fall defense armored vehicle developed by the American company Oshkosh.
Since 2009, the U.S. Army has been testing five proposed vehicles, including the Oshkosh Company, and the Oshkosh M-ATV was selected that same year.
The M1240 is a basic type with an OGPK armoured gun turret, while the M1240A1 is a vehicle with an additional underbody armoured UIK kit on the M1240.
It weighs 14.7 tons and has a top speed of 105 km/h.
