Around 1937, the German Air Ministry presented various aircraft manufacturers with a competition to produce a "small twin-engine attack aircraft equipped with a 20 mm cannon and robust defensive armor," and prototypes were produced based on designs from Focke-Wulf and Henschel. Around 1939, the prototypes from both companies were completed and compared, and the Hs 129 was selected, with 12 aircraft ordered as the Hs 129A-0. However, the 465 horsepower Argus As410A-1 engine installed in the Hs 129A-0 was insufficient to give the 5-ton airframe adequate maneuverability, resulting in low maneuverability and poor handling, making it difficult even for skilled pilots to fly. However, after the occupation of France, the possibility of repurposing the 700-horsepower Gnome et Rhone 14M air-cooled double radial 14-cylinder engine became available, leading to its redesign as the Hs129B. This modification allowed it to be used as a dedicated armored vehicle attack aircraft, attacking enemy armored vehicles from above and destroying the upper hull, achieving combat success and earning it the nickname "Flying Can Opener." The Hs129B-2 featured a modified engine carburetor and the removal of the antenna mast, and its armament was improved to allow for the installation of MK101, MK103, and BK3.7 37mm cannons in its pack armament. The Hs129B-3 was equipped with a BK7.5 75mm anti-tank gun in its pack armament, and was initially tested under the name Hs129B-2/R4 before being adopted as the Hs129B-3, with approximately 25 units reportedly deployed in combat.

●Clear parts for the upper part of the main wing and the left side of the rear fuselage are included.
●Decals are included (there are 4 marking options for both).
※Figures are not included.

■Product Specifications
Manufacturer: Takom
Item No: TKO48001
Scale: 1/48
JAN: 4897051423515

■Notes
※Due to manufacturer circumstances, the expected arrival month and the actual product specifications may change.
