■Product Description
The Typhoon is the designation for a series of wheeled mine-resistant armored/armored personnel carriers that began deployment with the Russian Armed Forces in 2014. There are several types of Typhoon series vehicles, including those manufactured by KamAZ and Ural, but all models share the same engine and control/information systems. This vehicle has a V-shaped hull and high ground clearance, and the crew seats are designed to absorb shock, protecting the crew from the blast of mines and IEDs. The hull is also armored with a composite material of steel and ceramic, providing high ballistic protection. Fixed armament can be mounted on remotely operated weapon systems (RWS) such as the Albaret-DM.
