The M29 Weasel is a military tracked vehicle developed in the United States during World War II as a snow vehicle intended for use in special operations on snow. Its official designation is the M29 Transport Vehicle. This vehicle was deployed to Europe, the Pacific, and Alaska as a vehicle that could traverse areas where conventional wheeled vehicles are difficult to operate, such as mud, sand, and swamps, in addition to snow. It was used as a multi-purpose vehicle that could be used for various purposes such as a light transport vehicle, command vehicle, communications vehicle, ambulance, and telephone line laying vehicle.
