■Product Description
The Bergepanzer 2 is a tank recovery vehicle developed in West Germany based on the Leopard 1 as the successor to the Bergepanzer 1 (M88A1). Development began in 1963, and a prototype was completed in 1965. After testing, the Bergepanzer 2 "Standard" began to be delivered to the West German Army in 1966. This vehicle is equipped with a 270° rotatable crane on the right side of the hull that can lift 20 tons of weight, and the dozer blade on the front can be used as an anchor in addition to removing soil. 444 units were deployed in the former West German army.
