■Product Description
The Sd.Kfz.131, designated "Marder II" in November 1943, is an anti-tank tank destroyer (Panzerjäger) based on the Panzer II Ausf. F chassis and equipped with a Rheinmetall 7.5cm PaK40/2 anti-tank gun. As a "mobile anti-tank gun" that allowed for rapid and flexible repositioning compared to towed guns, this vehicle had low survivability due to its thin armor and open-top design with an open rear, but its excellent mounted gun allowed it to effectively counter Allied tanks. Marder IIs deployed to tank battalions continued to fight on the front lines until the end of the war.
