Copper State Models is pleased to announce a new product: the 1/32 Nieuport XI "Italian Specification". The Nieuport XI is a fighter aircraft with a 1.5-wing design, designed by Gustave Delage of France and produced by Nieuport during World War I. This aircraft appeared on the Western Front in the summer of 1915 and is known for ending the "Fokker Punishment" by overwhelming the German monoplane fighter Fokker Eindecker. It was also affectionately known as "Bébé" and was flown by French ace pilots Kinnemer and Nungesse. The Nieuport XI was supplied to the French Air Force and the British Naval Air Force, as well as the air forces of the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, and Italy, and 646 units were license-produced by Macchi in Italy. This product includes photo-etched parts and four types of Cartograf decals. When completed, the model will have a length of approximately 181mm and a wingspan of approximately 234mm.
