This is an announcement from Freedom Model Kits for the 1/35 M1A2T Abrams Main Battle Tank, Republic of China Army, Han Kuang Military Exercise 2025.
The M1 Abrams was developed as the successor to the M60 and is a main battle tank operated by the United States and its allies. The M1A2T is an export version for Taiwan based on the M1A2SEPv2, and Taiwan plans to acquire 108 units by 2026. Han Kuang is the largest live-fire military exercise held annually in Taiwan since 1984, and the "Han Kuang No. 41" exercise, held throughout Taiwan in July 2025, was conducted for 10 days, double the usual 5 days, and included urban defense training. The M1A2T conducted its first live-fire training in Hsinchu County in northern Taiwan on the 10th of the same month, and the event was opened to domestic and international media. In the future, this vehicle is planned to be used in new strategic applications, such as in conjunction with unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
