■ Description
The HEMTT is a series of eight-wheeled diesel engine off-road trucks operated by the U.S. Army. Compared to standard five-wheeled trucks, this heavy-duty truck boasts extremely high mobility with an eight-wheeled all-wheel drive and a combination of thick low-pressure tires and overhead engines. The M983 tractor is primarily used to tow MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missiles and MGM-31 Parsing medium-range ballistic missiles. It is also used in conjunction with semitrailers to transport aircraft and materials. The Parsing II is designed to replace the Parsing 1a missile as a weapon capable of mounting nuclear warheads for the main battlefields of the U.S. Army.・It is a two-stage solid fuel medium-range ballistic missile.
