■Product Description
Due to popular demand, we have decided to reproduce it!! The "Kiha 20 series diesel railcar," which was active on local lines throughout Japan during the JNR era, has been produced as a PLUM 1/80 scale plastic kit series with precise details down to the undercarriage.
The body is reproduced in a molded color that is reminiscent of the popular Tokyo metropolitan area color (vermilion No. 5). You can enjoy it as is, or repaint it in your favorite color.
The windows have a gimmick that allows you to choose between two open positions, perfect for non-air-conditioned local lines.
The undercarriage reproduces the appearance of a row of equipment including the DMH17 engine, and the bogies are also precisely molded with mechanisms such as swing bolsters.
You can also choose from several headlights and snowplows, which varied depending on the region.
The mechanism that made it easy to motorize, which was popular in the Kominato Railway Kiha 200, has been adopted again this time, resulting in a kit that can be enjoyed thoroughly, even with just one car.
Enjoy it however you like, from a single car to long express train formations recreated by combining Kiha 20s or other types of JNR diesel railcars!
*The 1/80 "Cross Seat Interior Set" is the official optional part for seats.
*This kit is an unpainted kit with some parts molded in color.
*This kit cannot run on its own. For operation, we recommend using Tenshodo No.05002 Coreless Power Truck 26P (φ10.5 plate wheels) and Nikko Model DT22 center pins for wooden floorboards in addition to this product. For couplers, please use your preferred commercially available couplers.
