■Product Description
Suwa's traditions have been passed down for over 200 years. Suwa's power spot, visited by many tourists, is one of Japan's oldest shrines, boasting over 10,000 branch shrines and holding the highest rank of Shinto deity.
The shrine has grounds in four locations around Lake Suwa, a famous lake in Nagano Prefecture, and is also known for the magnificent Onbashira Festival, a grand festival held once every seven years in which trees are cut down and pulled up. Among the four shrines of Suwa Grand Shrine, we will be creating a three-dimensional model of "Suwa Grand Shrine Shimosha Akimiya," which is characterized by its elegant Kagura Hall, exquisitely crafted guardian lion-dogs, and a worship hall with beautiful carvings that exude a solemn atmosphere.
This 1/150 scale model captures the charm of the Shimosha Akimiya shrine, including the Kagura-den (sacred dance hall) flanked by the "Komainu" (guardian lion-dogs), said to be the finest bronze in Japan, the main shrine building at the back, the two-story gate-style worship hall, and the left and right worship halls. The impressive presence of these historical buildings is faithfully reproduced in this "Suwa Grand Shrine - Shimosha Akimiya" model. Please compare it to the real thing and reflect on the depth of its history.
