The "Figure Plate" series takes advantage of printing and painting technology to create a variety of designs and patterns.
The 7th installment is a lacquer plate in the style of makie, a classic decorative plate.
The large plate has a glossy, lacquer-like finish and features a design of carp and Chinese lanterns.
The Chinese lanterns even reproduce the withered state of "transparent Chinese lanterns" with the leaf veins remaining!
The small plate has a semi-matt glossy finish and features a pine, bamboo, and plum design.
