■Product Description
The LAU-7A is a launcher used to mount AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, mainly on US Navy aircraft. The rails, the cover for attaching the umbilical cable, and the blast shield at the rear end have all been faithfully reproduced down to the smallest detail.
*Because the shape of the actual aircraft is prioritized in the reproduction, the position of the dowels differs from the LAU-7A included in kits such as the 1/48 F-8E. When attaching it to the double mounting Y rack in the kit, please cut off the dowels on the LAU-7A side before use.
In addition, the single mounting rack used when equipping only one AIM-9 on the side of the fuselage of the F-8 Crusader has also been reproduced. The shape of this differs from the part included in the kit, but the pin position is the same as the kit, so it can be attached without modification.
