4571628264571
1/350 US Navy warship North Carolina BB-55
■Product Description
The USS North Carolina was a battleship of the United States Navy and the lead ship of the North Carolina-class battleships. The ship was named after the state of North Carolina, and was the third ship to bear that name. The North Carolina-class battleships, which were of the same generation as the Yamato-class battleships, were planned to be built as replacements for older battleships and to secure a numerical advantage in capital ships against the new generation of battleships of hypothetical enemy nations. The ship was laid down in 1937 and commissioned in 1941, and from the following year, 1942, it was assigned to the carrier task force and was tasked with escorting transport convoys and directly protecting aircraft carriers. It participated in the Second Battle of the Solomon Islands, where it was hit by a torpedo and suffered moderate damage, but after repairs it was engaged in escorting carrier task forces and providing support fire during amphibious operations. After the war, it was used as a training ship, and after being stored as a reserve vessel, it was decommissioned and is now a memorial ship. The USS North Carolina was awarded 15 battle stars for its service in World War II. The kit is a full-hull model. The standard version includes decals, photo-etched parts, metal chains, and 3D-printed parts, while the DX version adds four more photo-etched sheets, brass parts, resin parts, and a deck masking sheet to the contents of the standard version.

■Product Specifications
Manufacturer: Very Fire
Item No: VFM350925
Scale: 1/350
JAN: 4571628264571

■Notes
*Due to manufacturer circumstances, the expected arrival month and actual product specifications may change.
