■Product Description
We are pleased to announce a new 1/72 scale aircraft kit from Avis of Ukraine. The product we are introducing this time reproduces the M.23b equipped with a Cirrus engine using newly molded parts. Two types of decals are included in the kit.
The Messerschmitt M.23 is a two-seat sports aircraft from the 1920s, designed by German aircraft designer Willy Messerschmitt. At that time in Europe, in order to showcase their technological capabilities, aircraft engine manufacturers themselves independently hosted air races in which only aircraft equipped with their own engines competed. The Bavarian Aircraft Works (BFW), to which Willy Messerschmitt belonged, designed the M.23 to be able to be equipped with various engines in order to participate in races held by each engine manufacturer, and won many prestigious races by participating in multiple races. The kit we are offering today reproduces the M.23b equipped with a Cirrus engine, and includes markings for two versions of the "Bismarck," Alexander von Bismarck's personal aircraft (from the Challenge 1929 International Touring Aircraft Competition in 1928 and 1929).
