■Product Description
The PQ-14 is a radio-controlled target drone used for training anti-aircraft artillery personnel, as requested by the US Army Air Corps in 1940. This aircraft can fly unmanned via radio control, but during ferry flights, a pilot was on board and controlled using the equipped basic control panel. Clear Prop! kits realistically reproduce even the smallest details, such as the cockpit and engine, and the surface rivets and panel lines are also wonderfully and delicately expressed. The kit described here allows you to choose between an open or closed canopy, the ailerons and rudder are separate parts, and four types of decals (PQ-14A x 1, PQ-14B x 3) are included. Furthermore, the kit parts allow you to recreate the PQ-14B used in the "Tip Tow" program (a program to transport fighter jets by attaching them to the wingtips of bombers. In the early stages of this program, experiments were conducted to attach PQ-14Bs to the wingtips of C-47 Skytrains, which later led to experiments in large bombers carrying jet fighters). When completed, the model will have a length of approximately 82mm and a wingspan of approximately 128mm.
