■Product Description
This is an introduction to the 1/350 Imperial Japanese Navy Super Yamato-class Battleship Kii, a limited-production new product resulting from a collaboration between Very Fire and Beaver Corporation.

In order to counter the battleship fleet that the United States had begun building, the Imperial Japanese Navy planned two Super Yamato-class battleships, an enhanced and developed version of the Yamato-class battleship, in the 5th Plan (Fifth Naval Armaments Expansion Plan) in 1942. Initially, a standard displacement of 85,000 tons, three or four triple 51cm gun mounts, and a speed of 30 knots were planned, but due to problems with docks, supply facilities, and port facilities, it is said that a proposal was ultimately submitted to mount three twin 51cm gun mounts on a hull of a size similar to the Yamato-class, and to make the speed equivalent to the Yamato-class. Furthermore, although no documents exist regarding the ship's name, some military commentators argue that it was intended to inherit the names of the battleships "Kii" and "Owari" planned under the Eight-Eight Fleet plan, following the naming conventions for battleships.
