■Product Description
The Tu-143 is an unmanned tactical reconnaissance aircraft that made its first flight in 1970, with a top speed of 950 km/h and a range of 200 km. The aircraft is launched from a dedicated trailer using booster rockets during takeoff, switches to jet engines after the booster rockets are released, and flies. Upon reaching the airspace above the destination, it takes pictures with a film camera mounted on the underside of the nose (later equipped with a television camera, with images broadcast to the base in real time via data link). Upon return, the camera is parachuted out over the base, and the Tu-143 itself deploys a parachute and falls for recovery. This kit allows you to choose from three configurations: the "launch state" with booster rockets (display stand included), the transport state on a trolley, or the return state with the landing pads deployed. The film camera or television camera inside the nose is reproduced, and you can also choose to remove the nose to represent the aircraft in a maintenance state. Multiple types of decals are included in both kits. When completed, the aircraft will be approximately 230 mm in length and 65 mm in wingspan.
