■Product Description
The anti-aircraft destroyer "Fuyuzuki" was built as one of the "Akizuki" class anti-aircraft destroyers, a groundbreaking type of ship built to accompany aircraft carrier task forces. The concept of an anti-aircraft ship was advanced by its long-barreled 10cm high-angle guns. Two twin gun turrets were installed at the bow and aft of the large hull, which was comparable in size to that of a cruiser. "Fuyuzuki" was built as a modified "Akizuki" class destroyer, with the construction process of the "Akizuki" class simplified.
In terms of combat history, it served as an anti-aircraft escort for the battleship "Yamato" during Operation Kikusui.
"Fuyuzuki" and "Suzutsuki," which participated in Operation Kikusui, survived the war, and their hulls now serve as breakwaters in Kitakyushu Port (Wakamatsu Port), protecting the port.
The kit reproduces the appearance of the ship during Operation Kikusui.
A newly developed "long 10 cm gun turret." The bridge, smokestack, and aft superstructure, which are simplified versions of the construction process of the "Akizuki" class, are reproduced.
