■Product Description
This is the "Porsche 962C "Brun Motorsport - Jagermeister" 1000km Spa 1986 Winner No. 17" produced as a 1/43 scale handmade model car by "VISION".

This model reproduces the "Porsche 962C "Brun Motorsport - Jagermeister"" that competed in and won the "Spa 1000km Race", one of the races in the 1986 World Sportscar Championship (WSPC).

【Vehicle Explanation】
The Group C category appeared in 1982 due to a revision of the FIA regulations. There was no limit on engine displacement, and although the amount of fuel used during races was regulated, there was a relatively high degree of freedom in machine production, and many automobile manufacturers entered and participated.
Porsche developed the Porsche 956 as its first Group C car and put it into actual competition from 1982. The 956 was a machine full of new innovations, including a 2.7-liter horizontally opposed six-cylinder twin-turbo engine mounted in the center of an aluminum monocoque chassis, and a body designed as Porsche's first ground effect car, aiming to reduce drag and generate strong downforce.
After its debut in competition in 1982, it achieved a brilliant record, including four consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans until 1985, before being replaced by the next-generation 962C.
The 962 was based on the 956, but was improved mainly to ensure driver safety, and appeared in 1984 in compliance with the American IMSA-GTP class regulation that "the driver's toes must not extend beyond the center of the front axle while driving." Porsche extended the wheelbase (120 mm). Later, the FIA Group C also added the same standard to its regulations, so the 962 for Group C was named the 962C.

The 962C won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1986 and 1987, and was very successful in races around the world, including Japan's JSPC (All Japan Sports Prototype Car Endurance Championship).
This time, we have reproduced the 962C of Brun Motorsport that won the 1000km endurance race held at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, the 8th round of the WSPC in 1986.
Privateer 956/962s, including Brun's, often have their own modifications, and this vehicle had a front wing added.

[Model Description]
The model is a modified version of the 3D data of the 962C released by our company, and we have created a body of the early model 962C short tail specification. The early model short tail is characterized by a thin body end like the 956.
The vehicle used in this race was also fitted with a front wing, which is reproduced by combining etched parts and white metal.
The corporate color orange is used, and the Jägermeister logo decal is applied. Then, several layers of clear coat are applied and polished repeatedly to eliminate the decal's edges and create a mirror finish.
The wheels feature rims made from machined aluminum with excellent roundness. To achieve a sharp reproduction, etched parts are combined for the disc and spokes, resulting in a suspension system that combines high quality and realism.
The 962C is an icon of Porsche racing in the 1980s. Please look forward to future variations.
