■ Description
It's a 1/43 scale from EIDOLON.・The handmaid.・The model car is the Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) Spirit R Type A headlamp open.
Model explanation
This is a faithful reproduction of the Spirit R, the final special-purpose sports car, the RX-7 FD3S, which has a rotary engine, and this time it's a replica of the distinctive retractable headlights that are open.
The model did 3D scanning, photography, and measurement of the actual car, and we created and developed 3D data in-house based on the interviews.
The RX-7 is a very difficult three-dimensional vehicle to replicate, so we paid close attention to the surface structure of the body.
You can also ask for details like the Spirit R-specific BBS wheels.
And the highlight of this release is the re-enactment of the retrograde headlights, which are characteristic of the RX-7 series, when they're open, and the real-world re-enactment of housing shapes, lens surfaces, and parts of real cars as much as possible.
Vehicle description
The RX-7 (FD3S) was launched in 1971 as a successor to the Savannah RX-7 and was launched in 1991. The two-stroke engine (FD13B) continued to be developed as a lightweight sports car.
In a minor change in 1999, the engine's maximum output reached an autonomously controlled 280ps, increased body strength, revisions to the suspension, and the adoption of a new front bumper design.
Many domestic sports cars were discontinued due to emissions regulations in 2002, but the RX-7 was also one of them. Mazda decided to release the "Spirit R" as a final specialty car with 1,500 units.
