This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the "Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package 2011" from the "EIDOLON COLLECTION".
Model Description
This model faithfully reproduces the "Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package," which is a special model of Porsche, the "Porsche 918 Spyder," equipped with an even more spartan performance package. This time, it reproduces the appearance with the active rear wing deployed.
In creating the prototype, we interviewed an actual car existing in Japan. Using a 3D scanner, we objectively grasped the complex details and the form that makes extensive use of expressive surfaces of the actual car. Based on this data, we designed the prototype to match the resolution of 1/43.
The magnesium wheels, which are the most distinctive feature of the "Weissach Package," were created as 3D data as possible that is as close to the actual car as possible while ensuring strength.
The powertrain, located behind the driver, is covered by a see-through mesh-type cover that seems to flaunt it, and this is reproduced using parts that have been pressed from etched parts. The powertrain visible underneath is also expressed with fine molding to make it look as realistic as possible.
Similarly, the carbon fiber diffuser that wraps around the rear bumper from below, a characteristic of cars equipped with the Weissach package, was also designed to be thin and sharp. Cars equipped with the Weissach package are luxurious with many carbon fiber parts, many of which are left with the carbon fiber exposed without being painted with the body color, but in this model, carbon fiber pattern decals are applied to these areas and then a clear coating is applied over them to give it the same look as the real car.
The "rear active spoiler," which is also a highlight of this model, has been redesigned to prioritize thinness and shape, and the details of the receiving part on the body have also been redesigned.
This time, we have prepared the Martini color, which is also found on the real car and is very popular. Also available is the Gulf Revale, an essential part of Porsche's racing scene.
US-spec markers are also reproduced depending on the model.

Vehicle Description
The Porsche 918 Spyder, a super sports car, was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show as a model that achieves maximum performance and minimum fuel consumption. In effect, it is the successor to the Carrera GT, a V10-engined super sports car that was manufactured from 2003 to 2006, but there is little in common with it other than being a two-seater sports car with the powertrain mounted in the center of the vehicle. However, it retains the body structure in which the powertrain is connected to a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) center monocoque and a CFRP subframe. The most significant difference between the Carrera GT and the 918 Spyder is that while both were pure gasoline-powered cars equipped with a 5.8-liter V10 engine, the latter was a hybrid vehicle combining a 4.6-liter V8 engine from the RS Spyder racing car, which was developed primarily for Le Mans, with a total of three electric motors. Its performance was astonishing for a production model, with a top speed of 320 km/h, and a lap time of under 7 minutes on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, a benchmark for measuring high-performance cars, demonstrating overwhelming speed not only on the straightaways but also on the wider course. In normal driving, it achieved a low fuel consumption of approximately 33 km/liter, which is in line with its concept. Furthermore, the "Weissach Package" equipped version was released as a high-performance version. It is known for reducing weight by 40 kg through carbon aero parts and magnesium wheels, and for recording the fastest lap time for a road car at the time, "6 minutes 57 seconds," on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
