This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the "Porsche 911 (993) GT2 Street 1996" produced by "VISION".
It faithfully reproduces the "911 (993) GT2 Street Ver." which appeared as a homologation model of the "911 (993) GT2 Racing ver.".
【Vehicle Explanation】
The "911 (993) Turbo", which is the base of the GT2, appeared in 1995. Equipped with a twin-turbo 3.6L engine that produces 408ps, 4WD, and wide rear fenders to accommodate wide tires, it was announced as the top model of the 911.
In 1996, the "911 (993) GT2 Street Ver." was announced as a homologation model of the "911 GT2", which was created to compete in the GT Championship. Based on the 911 Turbo, the maximum output has been increased to 430ps through increased boost pressure and changes to the engine management.
Riveted overfenders are fitted to match the larger size of the dedicated magnesium wheels. The rear wing, with added air intakes on both ends, is angle-adjustable and, together with the overfenders, adds an aggressive impression to the GT2's exterior.
The interior has also been made lighter by 200kg through the use of lightweight bucket seats, the elimination of the rear seats, and simple door panels.
[Model Description]
We measured and photographed the newly designed overfenders and ducted rear wing to create 3D data.
Many surfaces, including the front and rear fenders, front spoiler, and rear wing, are rounded, so we carefully refined the shape.
The wider front and rear tires are a different size from those of the Carrera RS, so we created a new prototype. We also reproduced the camber that gives the GT2 a braced look, just like the real car. The distinctive headlights and taillights were designed to reproduce the details appropriate to the scale.
