This model faithfully reproduces the "Mazda Roadster (ND) 990S", a special edition Roadster announced in December 2021.
【Vehicle Description】
The Mazda Roadster was released in 1989. The fourth-generation Roadster (ND) was developed with the "Kodo Design" concept promoted by Mazda. Although it has the most compact body size of all the Roadsters to date, the flared front and rear fenders and taut edges create a powerful body shape.
One of the charms of the Roadster is that various special editions and limited editions have been released since its launch.
The "990S" was added during the partial redesign in December 2021. The defining characteristic of this vehicle is that it is a model that pursues the "joy of driving through lightness." Based on the lightest grade to date, the "Roadster S," the unsprung weight has been reduced and the suspension has been specially tuned. The brakes are made by Brembo, and it is fitted with Rays forged aluminum wheels.
In line with the reduction in unsprung weight, the settings of the shocks and springs of the suspension have also been revised. The power steering and engine tuning have also been specially tuned, and it can be said that this grade embodies the original concept of the Roadster, "Jinba Ittai" (the oneness of horse and rider).
