About the actual aircraft
The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet was developed as an advanced version of the F/A-18C/D Hornet and began deployment in 1999. Compared to the C/D model, it features a larger airframe and increased fuel tank capacity to extend its range. It is equipped with two F414-GE400 turbofan engines. In addition to a fixed armament of one 20mm M61A1 Vulcan cannon, it is said that almost all weapons used by the United States can be operated from the 11 hardpoints added to the larger airframe. It has shown a wide range of activity as a multirole aircraft that can perform various missions with just one aircraft. Founded in 1942 as VT-11, then becoming VA-12A in 1946, VA-115 in 1948, and further developing into the attack squadron VFA-115 in 1996, the Eagles have been operating the F/A-18E since 2002. Deployed at Iwakuni Air Base in Japan, they are well-known in Japan.

The finished aircraft has a total length of 253mm and the sharp parts accurately reproduce the appearance of the current aircraft.
